A little bit about me.



   First and foremost this drive around the world is all about raising funds for cancer research and, all the funds raised will be donated through various cancer trusts. I shall not intentionally raise funds outside of the united kingdom though if money is offered during the drive for charity then I will have no problem in accepting it and adding it to the funds already raised. I feel very strongly about the need for research into cures for Cancers in there many forms, as I have seen a lot of suffering with friends and family in the past and present.
   As I enjoy a little free lance writing, I will be sending a diary every week during the drive which is to be added to this web site. Once again as with my first charity drive around the world in 1996 I will take the advantages of using several different forms of communications equipment including lap top computers, satellite telephones, GSM mobile phones as well as mobile fax and the use of the internet. This will not only allow me to keep in touch with the UK and my wife who is to be staying at home "Once is enough thanks" she told me!
   I will also be able to send up dates of the drive via the internet including digital images from the MINOLTA Demage V, Digital camera, back to several sponsors and reporters. My main source of income is importing Mag Alloy Wheels from the far east and distributing them around the British Isles and parts of mainland Europe so I will have to continue to run the business from the car whilst away. This I am sure will not be an easy task but as I am armed with so many different forms communication it should not be too difficult, though I think at times challenging. I am told this will make a great case study for the future.
